What is 16mm film?
Throughout the day I load the Canon Scoopic with physical film cartridges and shoot the highlights — the moments that define the day. Getting ready light. The walk down the aisle. First dance. The reel is a distillation, not a documentary.
After the wedding, the cartridges go to a film lab for chemical processing, then I hand-scan the negatives frame by frame. The result has grain, warmth, and texture that no digital preset can replicate — because it's not a preset. It's chemistry.
