Shot on Kodak Vision3, developed in a lab, hand-scanned. The grain and light falloff are physical — not added in post.
I started shooting 16mm in 2022 because I love physical media and shooting on film. It is expensive and takes time but that is what makes it worth it to me — it slows you down because you have to get the perfect frame every time. When you add film into your wedding package (I highly recommend you do) you will receive a highlight reel captured throughout the day on actual film. And when you watch it back it feels like you are watching a memory.
How it works
Shoot
I load the Canon Scoopic with Kodak Vision3 500T cartridges and shoot the highlights of the day — the moments that define it. The gate, the grain, the light — all captured on physical emulsion.
Lab
After the wedding, the cartridges ship to a professional film lab for chemical processing. The negative is developed the same way it has been for 60 years.
Scan
Developed negatives are hand-scanned frame by frame. I grade and score the reel as a standalone short — its own music, its own cut. Delivered separately from the digital film.
